It started with a diagnosis.

After a melanoma scare that sent me into surgery and a long recovery, I began asking a question I'd never thought to ask before: what exactly am I putting on my skin every single day?

The answer stopped me cold.

Parabens. Synthetic fragrance. Silicones. Petroleum derivatives. Ingredients with names I couldn't pronounce, doing things to my body I didn't understand. I'd spent years feeding my family organic food, sourcing from local farms, reading labels on everything we ate. But I'd never once questioned what I was putting on my skin.

That stopped the day I started reading ingredient labels.

FROM MY KITCHEN

What began as obsessive research turned into experimentation. I started making things from scratch in my kitchen in Newburyport, Massachusetts — starting with a simple tallow recipe. Tallow from grass-fed cattle. Jojoba. A few carefully chosen botanicals.

The results were unlike anything I'd ever used. My skin felt different. Real. Like it was actually being fed instead of coated.

I started sharing samples with friends. Then their friends. The feedback was overwhelming — not just "I liked it" but "my skin has never looked younger" and "this is the first thing that's worked for my eczema" and "my husband stole my jar."

Bond Skincare was born.
